    Cheryl Plaxico’s journey in law is a testament to her unwavering commitment to her clients and her relentless pursuit of excellence. With over 42 years of experience, Cheryl has established herself as one of Oklahoma’s most trusted and respected attorneys in real estate, commercial transactions, and litigation.

    After graduating from the University of Oklahoma College of Law in 1982, Cheryl quickly became a formidable force in the legal community, serving as a partner in several prominent law firms. Her practice spans all facets of commercial real estate development, including entity formations, contract negotiations, and advising on complex business transactions. Cheryl’s unique blend of litigation and transactional experience gives her the ability to provide comprehensive legal counsel, allowing her to guide clients with a holistic approach that considers every angle of their legal needs.

    In 2021, driven by a desire to offer a more client-focused practice, Cheryl founded Plaxico Law Firm, where she continues to provide the personalized, high-caliber representation that has earned her long-term relationships with many clients. Her dedication is evident in her meticulous care and deep understanding of her clients’ businesses, enabling her to anticipate challenges and deliver strategic solutions.

    Cheryl’s accolades include having been a Division I athlete to recognition as a Super Lawyer and the highest AV Preeminent rating from Martindale-Hubbell. She is a Master in the Luther Bohanon American Inn of Court XXIII, serving as its President, and is a member of the University of Oklahoma College of Law Board of Visitors. Cheryl is admitted to practice before the Oklahoma and Texas state courts, several U.S. District Courts, the U.S. Courts of Appeals, and the U.S. Supreme Court.

    Cheryl’s commitment to public service is equally distinguished. She was appointed by Governor Keating to serve as Chairman of the Oklahoma Indigent Defense System Board and later as a member of the Oklahoma State Regents for Higher Education, where she held roles including Chairman. She has also served as a Commissioner on the Oklahoma Commission for Teacher Preparation and as a member of the Governor's Commission on Government Performance along with leadership roles in professional organizations. Cheryl’s career is marked not only by her legal acumen but also by her deep dedication to her clients and community, making her a trusted partner and formidable advocate.

Outside of the courtroom, Austin is known for his approachable demeanor and his ability to explain complex legal issues in a way that is easy to understand.     When he’s not advocating for his clients, Austin enjoys spending time with his fiancée, Kinsey, and their two dachshunds, Benji and Finn. He is also an avid disc golf player, bringing the same competitive spirit to the course as he does to his legal practice.
